i just saw my dust leave its tube i had one do this a year ago and it died is there anything i could do to save it

my perams are good ive had this one for like 6 months i dont think the head detached i cant tell the feathers are big so i think its covering the worm part. i saw it go back in the tube and when it started coming out it just didnt stop

I don't think the feathers would be long enough to cover the worm's body. Often they will shed the crown (or feathers) if there is not enough food. Do you provide supplemental feedings of phytoplankton? These animals aren't the easiest things to keep alive in the long run.
