Dwarf Angel question

Can I put any other Dwarf angels in my tank if I already have a Coral Beauty? Its a lightly stocked 125 Gallon with plenty of live rock and swimming space. Thanks

Maybe. I had a multicolor in a 180 and added a small majestic and he absolutely gave him hell, I had to separate the tank with eggcrate for a month, the multicolor still chased him around after I removed the eggcrate but by then the majestic had settled in and knew his way around (and knew to avoid the multicolor) so it worked out. Point being - sometimes even a 6' tank is not enough for a territorial centropyge. You're going to get other people replying about how they have 2 or 3 in a 75g or something - which I also believe. I think you will be able to add another dwarf but be prepared for the fact that it might not be as easy as just dropping it in.

Agreed. I just tried to add a Flame to my 90 with what i thought was a passive Coral Beauty. Uhhh the Flame is in my sump now....if you live in Tulsa and need a flame hollar at me Haha

I've had flames together with no problem. The first time I had an established angel in my 120g and added a second angel, I had to totally rearrange the rock to stop the fighting. After that everything was fine. Second time I added both angels to the QT and then the display at the same time, no problems at all. I have a flame now and would like to add a second angel but I really don't want to have to reaquascape, too much work so I am holding off on that.

Expect some squabbling, which can be really unnerving. I've got three small angels (though only one centropyge) in my 185. Each new addition got hazed. The last one, a Potter's, I was really worried about and came close to pulling him. Once everyone started ignoring him, he got comfortable and started harrassing my multibar. Again, I thought I would have to pull the Potter's. They seem to have worked it out now, though.

I added a Flameback in my 150 with a Flame that been in there for a year and they are doing fine. It's my clown that's being an ***. After 4 days he's starting to get used to the Flameback. Lots of live rock is the key,IMO.

It was suggested to me previsouly to use a breeding trap to get the new addition settled prior to adding. I haven't yet tried. However, after loosing one of a pair of coral beauties I am a bit risk adverse..... the male just got nastier and nastier.... I planned removing the female, but things went from love to war so rapidly that I didn't get the chance.
I would be inclined to say no; this is a u-turn on my previsouly held opinion on the matter.

It's possible. I had a Flame Angel for over two years, then added a Half Black Angel and there were no issues. The Half Black was much bigger, so not sure if that was why.

My c.beauty is seriously territorial. He's going into his own 40B with a mantis shrimp. The 125 is going to be angel free ;P Don't get me wrong. I love dwarf angels. I -may- try to pair the beauty up with a flame or a cherub, if I feel like taking the risk. But more likely he'll end up being with something fast like a wrasse.

... and the c beauty 'should' be safe with the mantis. It is a small smashing (not fish spearing) species.
