Just picked up a gently used,90 gallon tank. Cleaned up like new, and I'm thinking about a Dwarf Angel tank. How many? What kind get along? Planning on introducing them at the sime time. Any multiple angel keepers out there? Any suggestions and help appreciated. Also, what other fish could be compatible? Planning on live sand and rock in the tank. Thanks, John

Well in my 210g i have the following drawf / pygmy angels with no issues (FOWLR tank)

Cherb
Coral beauty
1/2 black
Bicolor

future additions (hopefully)
Keyhole
Flame
Potters
lemmon peel

Thanks! What do you think the max would be in a 90? BTW, I inherited a remora with this 90 that would love to meet yer sharks! John

As far as limit for a 90g..iam not sure..what are the demensions..

a remora in a 90g...now thats small for that fish(i know it came with the tank)

I have a remora (impulse buy).... that is prety neat ....

48 long, 18 wide, 24 tall. Yeah, the remora is really cool, but needs a larger tank. I'll check on what type it is. 18" long, black and white striped. Just found it on fishbase.com-Echeneis Naucrates.

Mixing dwarf angels is usually gamble, but there are variables that can improve your chances. Get juvi specimens, add them at the same time, have lots of live rock for shelter/territory. It most often boils down to trying it and hoping for the best, being prepared to remove one if things get ugly.

Wish I could find someone local, if's there's anything resembling local out here! Heck, I'd deliver to the right big tank.

I know the feeling..i would say i live in a one horse town but the town would have to improve 100% before it could be a one horse town.. i live across the street from the middle of nowhere its call Never will be anywhere

under the direction of sir copps i am attempting to pair 2 flame angels together in my 75 :), ive seen mixed dwarf angel pairs though in many tanks. I wouldn't go with more than 2 in a 90 though imo

I'd a pygmy along with 3 flame angels in a 75g couple of years back without any problem. Currently have 6 FAs, Colini and venustus along with other large angels. Introduce them around the same time and you should be okay.

as was said, smaller specimens, all at the same time, and I would not add two of the same species. I have had some really mean pygmy angels in the past and would be Leary of them. Maybe add one after the others had a chance to settle in.

I'd like to try adding several small angels to my new 180 as well-- I always QT my new fish so how do you think 2-3 angels in a 29 gallon would do for 4 weeks? Let's assume small juvis added at the same time and then transferred to the display tank at the same time?

Also there are no other fish in the tank at this moment - they could be the first things added -- or added down the road. The tank will have two tangs, a harem of anthias and a blenny as well.

It took time to acclimate 3 FAs in a 75g and I'd close to 150lbs of rocks so I would say it will be extremely difficult to put 3 in a 29g. You may get away with 2 different angels with lots of rockwork but be prepared to remove one. Good luck.

I have a Cherub and a Flame in my 90, I was hoping they would get along since they are about the same size. I had the cherub for a while and the lfs got in a Flame I had to try. I introduced the flame in the dark, and as of now I have not had any problems with them interacting. But I do have a 6 line in the tank that the flame does not care too much for, never fighting just letting it know its still there.
