hi

i wonna start a dwarf horse tank and was wondering what i could mix with them without having any problem??

fish - invert - corals - others

thank for the help

no fish, some snails (like nassarius), keyhole limpets, red lava shrimp, and possibly gorgonians although there may be issues with panacuring the tank.

sow you cant mix anything with that .... that to bad i though that you would put maybe some shrimp or something like that...

about the panacuring(is it a danger for the horse can i leave them in the tank) where do i get that stuff and is it necessery to do that .... can i just take water from a mature system and put it in a 1.5-3 gal tank for the dwarf and put the horse right a way or i should start with new mix water ???

I'm assuming you know the time requirements involved for dwarfs seahorses, such as daily hatching of brine shrimp and two or three times a day feedings... so I won't go into details on how to set up a tank or care for dwarfs.

To answer your question, it is not advisable to use water, rock, decorations, macroalgae, etc from an existing marine aquarium as it could introduce hydroids and other non-wanted critters (such as amphipods) into the dwarf tank.

The best way to do it is to start with new water, new sand, new decor and fully cycle the tank for a few weeks before adding any dwarfs.

First off you need to find a place in Canada where you can get dwarf seahorses. Due to CITIES regulations, they usually aren't available outside the US.

sexy shrimp do well with dwarves in my experiance, as well as pipe fish. Most places that sell dwarves online also sell many compatable tank mates and macro.
