what are the requirements for a dwarf red anglerfish? are they hard to take care of? what should i feed them and how often? any information would be greatly appreciated!

By "dwarf" anglerfish im guessing you mean A. pictus. Frogfish are notoriously difficult to take care of and if you haven't done much reading on them I don't suggest you buy it. A. pictus (considering it is A. pictus, they are impossible to ID without a photo) only gets about 4 inchs long and they dont do much besides sitting around all day so i 10-20 gallont ank would be ideal. If the fish eats frozen (which means you're lucky) you will want to feed it frozen silversides, they are small eel looking fish that you can get at the LFS. If they dont you will have to feed them glass shrimp and live fish. I would reccomend feeding it once every two to three days and do not overfeed as they will eat until they die.

IMO you should do ALOT of reading about anglers before getting one. They can be tricky.

A. pictus gets almost as large as an A. commerson if taken care of. At least 50 gallons in the long run, but a 20 gallon would do for a while.

I've kept 4 anglers. They tend to die for unexplained reasons. "Dwarf" anglers would most likely be Antennatus instead of Antennarius, and they tend to die from bloat. They aren't suitable for the trade.

A. hispidus or A. striatus are probably the most hardy and usually very quick to eat and accept frozen foods.

They are fun fish if you can keep them alive.

Pictus gets as large as commersoni? Wow that's news to me. Do you have any sources to validate this? I'm not tryin to bust your eggs or anything it's just I had kept anglers a while ago and I had never heard that pictus gets that big. It's just very intruiging to me.
