Hi everyone:D. I was just wandering if any knows if it is alright to put a peppermint shrimp into a dwarf seahorse tank so it can help me keep the bottom of the tank clean:confused: Thanks

You can use snails But u have to scrub there shells to prevent hydroids. As i just learnd with my dwarf tank, you cant have hermit crabs eather=).

guys could he put a ghoast shrimp in there???

Nassarius vibex, keyhole limpets, virgin nerites ... I like those. Get a cleanup crew that can survive panacur. Those all (most of the time) do.

I have 4 peppermint shrimp and 50 hermit crabs in my 75g DSH I have 2 big SH in with them to with NO prob for over 3 years some will say dont do it but you can. Haw big is the SH tank.

Are you sure you have dwarves in your 75? It sounds like you have a larger species, which is a whole different story.

lfduty you said you have two big sh... larger species seahorses are TOTALLY different then dwarfs when it comes to a lot of things especially stocking.

Yes i have 2 larg black SH and 2 dwarfs i know what i have iv been in saltwater 23years im not new to the hobby

in the same tank? if so then i'm sorry but you need to take your own advice
Research, research, research each individual species you intend to own. This will ensure a lengthy life of your livestock.

LFduty, how big are your dwarves? I can't imagine you'd even be able to locate them in a tank that big. Dwarves only get about the size of a fingernail (1 inch from tip of tail to tip of head)...

because i cant see how you would be able to feed them in such a large water volume and possibly find them in such a large sized tank. also they are much more volnerable to things in the tank than larger seahorses such as hydriods.

Both those pictures are showing larger species do you have any pictures of the dwarves?

I do wave pic's some place i need to find them and as for feeding i target feed them and yes some times its is hared to see them most of the time i will see if i can get some pic's to night when i feed they will come out when i feed.

I dont know my wife hase it in her pic's as you see i put I THINK we have 2 like it i dont know where she got the pic from where do you see the copright at. i dont see it i looked up the page and i see it.

Copyright is on the bottom left of the pic, both the one you posted and the one on the web site. It is also posted on the first page of the web site where Jeffrey posts all his pics he takes in the philippines. I know you said you "think", I just wanted to let you know that you posted someone else's pic, a copyrighted one at that.
