Dwarfs Angels: Opinions, Experience?

I'd like to know if dwarf angels are appropriate for the larger (29-34 gallon) nano tanks. I wonder if there would be enough swimming space or would it seem too cramped. I know that most are rated to have a 30g minimum tank size, but I wonder if that would be appropriate, and I'd rather not put a fish in a tank that's not meant for it.

Then again, who can resist the allure of a flame or other dwarf angel? I'm aware none are reef-safe, but as always, I'm just speculating on things. So, offer your opinions and experience, if you've had any.

I think its ok for some, different types of dwarf angels vary from 3-8", I think keeping most of the smaller 3-4" type in a 29+ is fine. I have a Half Black in a standard 29g tank he seems to be doing fine, my rockscaping allows for swimming in front and behind the rocks though no rocks near the glass.

I got a Coral Beauty in a 29g
Doesn't pick on corals like my friends does.

The Coral Beuty is very deep but bright blue , no light purple color at all, that's why I got it.

I've always wanted a Flame Angel.

I've had my coral beauty for nearly 2 years now in my 28g. I recommend buying a small one as their growth will be stunted by the small tank size. Overall this single fish has been hit and miss on corals, it goes through phases of nipping and other times acts perfectly. Also pretty aggressive. I couldn't imagine my tank without an angel though, I will always keep one.

I have had, over time, a couple cases of MHLLE with it, and given the varied diet I can only attribute this to the small tank size. Probably not the ideal habitat for an angel to be in a tank this small, but definitely doable given my long term success.

I think one of the smaller centropyge will do fine in that size tank. by the smaller centropyge I mean argi, flavicauda, aurantonotus or acanthops.

Scape your tank to provide some open space and plenty of caves/corridors. If you plan on keeping other fish, divide the space visually so the centropyge can't see the whole area from any one point or else everyone else will have to hide.

I have a flame angel in my bc 29, dosnt pic at corals but some days has an attitude. Thinking I have one to many fish. My bio load isn't to much, ,ore of junta territory thing. Make sure you add one last and not to have to many.they are bullies. Mine is a beast when they fight.

Luckily my Flame was an angel. I had him in my standard 3 footer, he seemed happy enough.
I would say get one, they are beautiful.
Although maybe he picked at corals when I wasn't looking!
