Ea bowser polythoa?

Anyone have EA bowser palythoa? Just asking because of the paly toxin. Some corals are deadlier than others. I thought they only get you if you have an open cut, or boil them, but I read this news article that said an entire household suffered in Britain from palytoxin just for having it in his tank....and then they showed a picture of kenya coral. Obviously they don't know what palytoxin is. I own rasta polyps and green ones which have never hurt me. Might be letting the cunning and cruel palytoxin fear get the better of me though. :lmao:

I've read a few of those articles as well and the story is never straight. Whether the aquarist knew it or not they did something to cause the paly to release enough paly toxin to be harmful, most likely ripped up a mat moving rocks around or crushed them. But the reality is if you have them in your tank the likelihood of actually getting poisoned is very low unless you're being careless or just downright silly, i.e. chopping, tearing, squishing, well you get the point. I guess my whole point is that they are a beautiful animal that has been kept and fragged for decades and, just like anything else, if you respect them then you'll get years of enjoyment out of them and if you're careless you may get nipped in the butt.

the 2 morphs you mention are not palythoas and are not toxic, they are zoanthids, bowsers are referred to as "palys" NOT palythoas, because they are larger zoanthids, that britain family article was fake news
