EcoMod on Maxi Jet PH, worth it?

Is the EcoMod attachment on the Maxi Jet PH a real plus or just another gadget?

If you have one laying around,then I think it is a cheap upgrade with impressive results.I actually bought a maxi jet 1200 and an eco mod upgrade and am happy with the results{for the price}It is not as good as my Seio1100 or my Koralia4 IMO.

I disagree. I replaced my Koralia 4 with a Mj600 and the SureFlow kit. I think the difference is quite noticeable. Besides, the Koralia 4 is 1200 gph @ 8.5w and the Mj600 is 1400 gph @ 7.5w.... The Mj's with the sure flow only get stronger while you've reached the top of the line on the Koralia's. That is why I chose the Mj's.

Oh yeah, the Seio is 1100 gph @ 21w. ...and they are huge!!

The maxi jet mod does not seem to disperse the flow of water in different directions as well as the koralias.

The EcoMod is quieter than the SureFlow, but the Sure Slow has a ball socket attachment like the Koralias. The MJ mods definitely beef up small powerheads but do work slighly different than the Koralias. I use them all.
