Ecosmart Live Programming Issue - Gen 1 Radion

Hi All,

I was wondering if I could get help from some of you experts in programming/scheduling the Radion lights on Ecosmart Live, specifically moonlight after 11pm. I've email Jon at Ecotech Marine but I have not heard back from him yet.

I started using a pair of Radions last Friday and I'm using Jon's (from Ecotech Marine) schedule template. I'm switching over from AI SOL Blues. I've never used Radions before so this is my 1st experience. Before programming/scheduling the Radions, I've reset the lights back to Factory Settings, updated the firmware, and calibrated the lights.

The schedule is currently on acclimation mode for 6 weeks.

Start Day: 10am
Start Night: 11pm

10:00am = 25 / 5 / 0 / 0 / 0 / Brightness 20
11:05am = 50 / 25 / 0 / 0 / 0 / Brightness 25
12:10pm = 30 / 10 / 0 / 0 / 0 / Brightness 100
1:15pm = 40 / 25 / 10 / 0 / 5 / Brightness 100
2:20pm = 50 / 30 / 20 / 10 / 20 / Brightness 100
3:25PM = 80 / 40 / 20 / 20 / 30 / Brightness 100
4:30pm = 100 / 45 / 45 / 30 / 40 / Brightness 100
5:35pm = 100 / 55 / 45 / 45 / 50 / Brightness 100
6:40pm = 80 / 35 / 25 / 30 / 40 / Brightness 100
7:45pm = 80 / 35 / 10 / 15 / 30 / Brightness 100
8:50pm = 50 / 25 / 10 / 0 / 20 / Brightness 100
9:57pm = 30 / 15 / 0 / 0 / 20 / Brightness 100
11:00pm = 30 / 0 / 0 / 0 / 20 / Brightness 20
1:00am = 5 / 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 / Brightness 20
3:00am = 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 / Brightness 0

Here's my experience so far after programming the Radions:

08Mar2014 - Saturday

On the 1st night after 11pm, all the lights were off. Not sure what happened. The royal blue LEDs should have stayed on, correct? :eek2: Everything should have turned off at 3:00am.

09Mar2014 - Sunday
After re-programming the Radions, the royal blues did stay on after 11pm. :spin3:

10Mar2014 - Monday
When I woke up this morning at 6:30am, one of the clusters were still on (royal blues). I'm confused :headwally:

**I really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.**

^^ Not very helpful mfinn...

OP - I'm fairly new to using Ecotech Live as well. I think you need a set point that keeps the lights off right before you want lights on. In other words, copy your 3:00 am lights off to 9:55 am. The way you have it right now, the lights are slowly ramping from 3 am to 10 am.

Thanks OzarksReef. I'm sure mfinn is just suggesting that if I want quicker respond from Ecotech, I should just call them.

I will give that a try when I get home today and we'll see how it goes.

For best results call them especially if you are new.
They even say that.
If you are having a problem you can get 1 on 1 help.

The Lunar Cycle can have some strange affects on your lights. When I first had mine. I didn't turn it on for a like a week until I was sure they were doing what I wanted. Then I enabled it.
One other thing. If you were running AI SOLs before You should have minimal need for the acclimation period. IMO

Hi OzarksReef,

Looks like adding another set point before 10am did the trick.

I'll keep my eyes on the lights for the rest of the week.

Thanks.

Hi erndog1001,

Didn't think the Lunar Cycle could be the cause. Good point though. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it happens again or I can just turn it off :)
