ecosmart radion connection issue...

hello,

i bought a tank setup recently, and it came with a gen 1 radion xr30w. it is my first radion, and i have to say that i really like the way it lights up my cube!

i am having issues setting up a schedule on ecosmart, and was hoping to get some advice...

i have ecosmart on my computer (pc) and my iphone. i connected my computer via the usb cable and can see the radion. i see the old owner's name, and schedule. i can adjust the individual channels up and down.

when i try to connect the radion on my computer, it times out. it then says "offline mode". on my iphone, it just never connects.

any ideas on how to connect and change the schedule?

p.s. i am seriously wanting to upgrade to the gen 3 pro, but want to be sure i can work the controls first. lol i think the upgrade would be ideal for a carpet nem :)
 
no, i'm looking for advice on setting it up, and also stated that that i am interested in upgrading. try to classifieds...

no one has any advice on how to get it to link up?

ecosmart states "connected" and i can see info for the light. when i try to adjust the schedule, it goes offline and i can't adjust the schedule. thoughts???

i just found an older post and followed these instructions...

"Please follow these steps to correct your issue:

1. Disconnect via USB and power down all lights for at least 30 seconds
2. Log in to EcoSmart Live using Google Chrome or Safari
3. Select the “Settings” then “New Profile” and “Yes”
4. Log out of EcoSmart Live
5. Start the Connection Manager and connect via USB to one Radion
6. Right click the connection manager icon select “USB Radion” then “Factory Reset” and “Yes”
7. Repeat step 6 for each light
8. Log in to EcoSmart Live and program your lights using the Aquarium Setup
9. Select the “Program All” button to save all changes

If you continue to experience issues, please give us a call 1-800-785-0338 Ext. 2. "

i used google chrome, and got all the way to step 8. i named my aquarium, and it stated "checking for updates, may take several minutes..." and just stuck there on that screen....

it is communicating with my light. the program turns it off, on, and ect... why does the programming keep freezing up???
 
Looks like you might have to do step 10

Or maybe one Ecotech wakes up this morning they can give you some help on here.

I would recommend calling in directly to resolve the issue.
