Eel with large growths.

I just aquired an eel with two large growths on its back. They are just below its head, and are on each side of the fish's 'center line'. I'm not sure what caused it. For now, I am treating with melafix. I melafix every new fish for the first 3 days of quarantine. Has anyone ever seen this before? Has anyone ever seen this and seen it heal? Any suggestions would be great.

Maybe 'growth' is not the best way to describe it. I looks like the eel has two little balloons under his skin.
