Egg Crate

Does anyone know where to get eggcrate for putting live rock on in the QC area?? Is it possible to use the plastic grate of sorts for Flouresent lights???

That is what people refer to as eggcrate... it is those light defusing panels you get at Lowes or Home Depot (or any other hardware type store).

Great! I saw them and sort of figured thats what they were. They have sexy chrome ones too! heheheh ok, maybe not in the fishtank.

Don't use the chrome looking ones, it will flake off.

Yeah I know, it was a joke. you wouldn't see them under the rock and sand anyways.

Yeah I went in to home depot and asked for egg crate and they had NO idea what I was talking about. I explained what it looked like and they found it for me of course in the lighting section.

They asked me why I called it egg crate. I realised I had no idea why people call it egg crate and shrugged my shoulders.

Why do people call it egg crate?

Good question.... its obviously too small for eggs, although I supoose you could stand eggs up on then if you were feeling bored....
