Eheim needle wheel pump

Hey
Does anyone know if the Eheim needle wheel pump sold by Custom Aquatics is the same pump that Deltec/H&S uses?

I don't see an eheim needlewheel pump sold at custom aquatic.

Do you have a link? I only see the normal eheim pumps which come w/o needlewheel.

Go to Custom Aquatic's website,go to protein skimmers,click on replacement pumps and you will see it.At 149.00 dollars just wondering if it's the same pump the big boys are using!

You could ask Doug in the Deltec forum this to confirm but I'm pretty sure the answer is no. While a good portion of the pump remains the same Deltec modifies the pump in a way that they understandably will not reveal.

I highly doubt it is the Deltec model, but it is possible it is like the H&S.

Anybody have one to take a picture of?

I think that is pure bullcrap because h&s doesn't modify theirs and everyone says the put out the same amount of air as the deltecs. There hasn't been a single person that has been able to prove this! If someone proves it by posting pictures of a regular eheim and a modified deltec I will believe them. I honestly think its a rumour/lie...

this was posted by custom aquatic's last year in april.

"Unfortuantely, we do not have these in stock. I just spoke with some one on the phone that would like ot order one. Due to the approximate 3 month lead time on these pumps, and the high cost compaired to other needle wheel pumps, we have not had any in stock for several months. Once the pump arrives that we are special ordering from Germany, I will take a picture of the pump impeller close-up to post on our site."

So I assume they got them in stock and they could be the same as deltecs or h&s.
