Eheim pumps

Yeh, it will work, but maybe jump up to a 1260? As long as the return isn't your main source of flow in the display.

I'm looking to add a Tunze or something similar for flow. Thinking the 1250 would be economical (price and electric bill), as long as it worked adequately.

The 1250 is a great pump, but you won't get 317 GPH. After head pressure and frictional loss you'll end up with less.

For example, assuming you have no adapters or elbows or valves, (unlikely), if your return hole is 4 feet above the pump you will only be getting about 190 GPH.

So that's about 2x flow. Which isn't undesireable necessarily. Afterall sumps should flow 2-5x. But 2x is kinda on the slow side. I use the 1260 on my 120 and it's kinda slow for a 120, so I think for a 90, a 1260 might be a good option. At 4-6 feet the 1260 will get you in the 300-400s.

Cheers
Josh
