Elastic on yuma?

I wouldn't use a rubber band... Put the yuma on the plug, and put the plug in a small container, like a water bottle cut open. Put some mesh over the top, put the elastic around THAT. Then put it in a low flow area for a week. It'll attach by itself.

The constant pressure on the delicate structures of the yuma, is just asking for additional stress on a shroom that you just cut in half. So to minimize stress, and maximize your chance of survival, I wouldn't do it that way.

I sliced a single yuma into 6 piece's over a period 2 week's and placed in a container for 1 week, they all grew new mouth's, but did not attach to aragonite.
Probably because my aragonite is fairly fine in size.
So far the elastic created a slight wound that I've been carefully blowing away the slime, other then then that it looks to be in healthy shape.
Just don't know what will happen when I release the elastic.
It's been 2 days, I will probably slice each side of the elastic and slide it out carefully after a week, instead of ripping it up wards.

You need to put it in a container with rubble, not sand...

Just wanted to do it this way and have some advice from others with similar experience's. Sorry
Looks to be just enough pressure from the elastic to split the frag into 2, but not too much pressure to slice it in half entirely.
I think it is stuck now, but I'll wait 5 day's to make sure it's stuck entirely, then slice the elastic, pull it out, then razor blade the middle.
If it work's this way, I'll do the rest with elastic's, then slice them in half, should get 32 frag's from 3 yuma's over a period of 2-4 week's.
