Electric Flame Scallop

Ok......my mother made me buy it. I do not know much about them other than that they are filter feeders. I have a 750 gallon reef about 4 months old. I noticed today that this thing has blue thread like light that pulses!!! REALLY COOL!!! never knew that they did that.

Is there any good reading about these to learn more about them or better yet does anyone know how one can keep one of these long term. My guess is that they need some sort of intervention on our part to feed them. Even in a 750 my guess is that they will starve.

I believe they need phytoplankton, and lots of it. Not the easiest creature to maintain in an aquarium.
