I have a genx px40 water pump running my protein skimmer and I'm trying to find out the wattage used. In the discription of the pump all is says is 1.2 amps 110 volts

wattage is volts xamps.132 watts.that sounds like a lot of power for a skimmer.how much water is the pump pushing.i have a mag drive 500 that uses 40 watts,and my dolphin 2000 uses 200 watts.

hay thanks I have the pump at full blast. precision marine says to use a genx px40 or a mag 18 to run the bullet 2 skimmer

that is about right,the mag 18 uses 140 watts.
