Hi all. I noticed this recently and I wanted to share it. I have a big colony of green zoas with a few red polyps. But of course there are alot of zoa eating nudibranch (which i will call ZENs now) that hitchhiked. But a bristle worm also came along and fed on the eggs and nudibranchs so now I commonly see the ZENs on my glass. Well, when I added the elegance coral, their numbers dropped alot. Maybe my hermit crabs and bristle worms also played a part but who knows. Just now, a good sized yellow ZEN(about as long as my finger nail) was on the glass when i was feeding my EC a piece of shrimp. Well the ZEN touched one of the tentacles of the EC which are near the glass and immediately, the tentacles all closed in on the poor ZEN. The tentacles grabbed hold of the ZEN easily and brought it towards one of the many mouths of the coral and the poor ZEN just got devoured. The fact that how fast the coral reacted really shocked me. Just wanted to share this story, it was really surprising!
