I found a whole bunch of posts 5-6 years ago on these products But is their any updates from people who have been using for long periods of time? why you would or would not recommend to a newer reefer? I bought it and did the reading about starting very slow, My Skimmer completly STOPPED making skimmate and the water has been hazy a couple hours. Everything looks happy still but its only been a matter of hours since applied to tank. I also used the coral vitalizer as it was with the BRS Pack I ordered.

If someone knows an active thread still out their on this I would have no issues reading the posts for answers!!

I'm currently dosing Elos amino acid once a week with an amount of 30drops. My tank is fairly new and when I had my phosphate and nitrate to 0.00ppm(Hanna and red sea pro test kit), I notice my sps frags were lacking in color. Especially the purple. All of my frags with purple tips were turning pale green/light yellow. Since dosing amino acid for 6 weeks, I notice the purple tips are back and the overall color of the sps are much more desireable.
I do get algae on the glass everyone 3-4 days so I know there's some nutrient in the water. But the sps colors wasn't what I'm looking for with undetectable nitrate and phosphate without dosing amino acid.

This is me, Sorry forgot to thank you for your input.... The sps is what I am after making pop so that helps my decision

Elos amino and pro skimmer 3-4 days a week, 8 drops per dose of each. Used for about a year now. They're not miracle potions. Some stuff still dies, some stuff turns brown or bleaches. 75% of corals have good color and growth though. Truthfully I've used it ever since I got into sps so I'm not sure what to report without it. When I run out I won't replace it immdiately and observe for changes. Also want to try acro power which gets rave reviews. I also have a bottle or KZ zeovit amino acids to use once the elos runs out. Bought them both at the same time and just started with the elos first.
