So I bought a used Elos system 70 tank/stand. When I purchased, the seller and I agreed that to transport the stand it would need to come apart to fit into my car. While taking apart, 3-4 of the pieces ( don't know what they are called) that lock the stand together pulled out of the wood, versus coming out of the little locks. These are the ones you find on cheap furniture that you have to turn with a screwdriver to lock in. Anyways, the seller told me that I could epoxy the ones that pulled out. I put everything back together and on the few that pulled apart, I filled the holes with loctite 3200 psi epoxy. On one side the side panel is tight to the back panel, and the other has a very slight crack ( maybe 1/32") but enough to see light through.
My question is do I need to reinforce the four corners? I plan to add a bottom into the stand and was going to use Stainless brackets in each corner and lay melamine on top then waterproof membrane. Should I do the same to the top or am I concerned for no reason?
