Emerald activity

How active is active for an emerald crab? Just wondering cause it only walks around a little bit, but is brightly colored, and its eyes / mandibles move around very vigorously, it just seems to not move around alot. I just got it yesterday, so perhaps its just settling in but i wanted to get some experienced info.

Mine is very active and walks around all over the place. These guys get mixed reviews but I love mine its either eating aglae or walking around looking for algae. They get to be very entertaining.

wow...i have one in my tank i go weeks with out seeing it....always hides sometimes i have to look around to see if its even alive still.

So i must have picked mine poorly...drip acclimation for 1+ hour, perfect water parameters, other inverts in the tank thriving, and he croaked after 2 days. Im frustrated cause he was probably sick from the moment i put him in the tank but i tried to be patient, assuming he was just adjusting.

Lame. Better luck next time.

mine are all over night or day then there are some days i dont know there around , there my favorite crab

I have 2 which are all over the place. These guys will just walk around day or night. They tend to be bullies but really good guys to have around. Also, they're fun to watch because they are just so dang fast.

i used to have one and i would only see him after the lights went out.
