Well I have had 2 of these guys in my tank for several months. Emeralds are interesting to say the least. IMO they are worth having. I will say that they are excellent in scavenging about and eating nuisance algae. They do poke, prod and pull at most everything throughout their scavenging. I have 4 full zoanthoid colonies that my emeralds never bother them. They have never bothered any of my corals or actually physically ate them, however, they have knocked them off a shelf/rock here and there. I simply epoxy my loose frags down over time and no issues. I did have them eat a couple of small zoanthoid frags once, but this was becuase the frags were shipped long distance to me and were nearly DOA upon receipt. The crabs senced the demise and proceeded to eat them clean. My coral banded shrimp also picked at these same frags when the crabs wern't so I knew there was something wrong with them. Other than the one DOA incident of frag eating and the knocking over of some frags during first placement I would say that they are great scavengers and great conversation specimines! Go for it!
