Emerald Crabs

I have a Marineland 60g Cube rimless aquarium. About 30 Lbs of live rock - I've been having some Bubble Algae issues and I wanted to get some Emerald Crabs to eat it. My question is, how many Emerald Crabs should I get?

Current Stock:

1 foxface
1 purple Chromis
1 clown Goby
2 Clowns
1 Royal Gramma

i would get one or two. Might take longer than if you got a bunch. but then when they are done you will have too many. Plus they aren't guaranteed to eat bubble algae.

Dont get too many.

3 max. They are crabby little things. They dont like things near thrn sns WILL clamp obto passing fish if they dont like it

Shat other cleanup crew you have?

Do you have a refugium?

Get as little as possible. It definitely is a coin flip with them as far as eating the bubble algae. They're rated as reef safe but it's hit or miss with these guys...I've caught mine munching on my softies.

I would hold off on the emerald crabs and manually remove what you can right before a water change. Don't worry about popping them. Your much more efficient at eradicating these things than any invertebrate can be.
I'm actually surprised the Foxface hasn't made short work of the Valonia already. GL.
