What does this look like to you?

This little guy is in quarantine right now until I know more about these white marks around the eyes and nostrils.

I pulled it from a 150g fowlr. The nitrates were off the chart. So I pulled this fish out and put him in a 10g. I slowly adjusted the parameters and the fish doesn't seem to be making any changes. It's been in there for about 5 weeks.

Is it just maturing or do I have an injured fish?

If I don't respond to any posts it's because I'm leaving for work. I'll check back later.

Thanks.

For the most part, I'm gathering the general cause of HLLE is poor water quality or lack of nutrition.

I don't know yet if mine will fully recover. I think the chances are good because it's still young. I have added to the diet: Angel Formula, Seaweed Selects, and Prime Reef Flakes by Ocean Nutrition.

Clutch, do you have pictures of your case?

I would say that yours would look the same as mine seriously I'lll see if i can take a pic....

I heard Reef Solution Fish Maintenance by ecosystems, will reverse HLLE over time. It certainly will not make it worse.
