Encroaching Montipora

I have a montipora coral at the very edge of my maxima. Could it attach and harm the clam? If so, what is the safest method of removal...of the montipora?

Frag time, just break a piece off that close to the clam!

The coral is growing across the liverock at the base of the clam and not in branching form.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'll bet they work it out themselves.

they will figure something out. in the wild there are tons of clams embedded in stony coral
