encrusting QUESTION

I just got a frag yesterday and glued it on to a plug, how long should i expect it to start encrusting?:bounce3:

depending on your setup, a week or so

I've had some that only took a week while others took about a month.

Depends on type of coral as well as your setup, lights, parameters.

some will take forever to start, but once they do it will start growing like a weed, i have 4 frags of encrusting monti's, all differnent ones, same size and attatched to the same size plug in the same manner, 1 immediately started encrusting, 2 are going slow and the other hasnt seemed to grow at all. Just depends on what it is, the ones that are groing good for me are no-name ones, the slowest i have is a sunset
