Epoxy making skimmer crazy

After adding some more live rock to my established tank, I realized I needed some epoxy to secure the rcok, as many were quite unstable. The epoxy said it would make the skimmer foam like crazy, up to 36 hours. It's been 72, and if I re-plug in the skimmer, it foams like mad. I did use the whole "stick" of epoxy to secure all my rock...so maybe that's why it's taking longer? Do I just need to wait this out? Do a water change? I dont like not running the skimmer, but when I do, it pumps out water uncontrollably....any tips??

I've found that if you let the skimmer go crazy and fill up the collection cup and dump that out a few times it shortens the time the skimmer will go nuts.

Start feeding frozen food. The oils will break the surface tension a lot faster and calm the skimmer down.

Thanks all for the tips! I'm on day 4 and it's slightly better, but I cant run the skimmer for more than an hour or so w/o losing too much water. I do feed frozen mysis so hopefully that will help as well.

What's the deal with carbon? Like in a reactor? I do run GFO currently...replace with carbon?
