Eradicating mushrooms

I have some plain discoma hitchikers that are multiplying in the wrong places...will kalk paste kill them?

I have 4 to start out with. The more I try to (Kalk paste) kill them the faster they grow. Now it covered the entire rock

I am hoping that there is some type pedator out there that control them and is reef safe?

Remove the rock from the tank and scrub it with a stiff brush. Rinse often and make sure you get all of the foot of the mushrooms. You can follow up with a water pick if they are retracted into the rock itself.

I believe you can also boil the rock, but that will kill any and all life.
