Eshopps psk 100h skimmer

Hello everyone. About 2 weeks ago I tracked down a new 100h skimmer to put on the 75 gallon quarantine tank that I have set up for my Japanese dragon eel and Mauritius trigger. It took a couple tries to get it to start up but then was fine. During the first day it progressively got louder and after a day it was really no longer tolerable. I contacted Eshopps to see if they had any solutions. After having me send a copy of the reciept, a picture of the impeller and a picture of the pump they told me last Thursday that They would send me packaging, I am to send the impeller back to them with the rma number provided and they would send me a new part. Well tomorrow will be 2 weeks since purchased and I still have no working skimmer. I still have not recieved any packaging to send off my impeller. This skimmer is useless to me. I am going to mess around with the impeller today and mesh mod it try to quiet it down a bit.

Well, I have mounted a new acrylic disk along with 3 layers of pf4 flatback. I had to glue the new pinwheel in place to keep the impeller from making its knocking noise. Everything seems to be working well at this point in its modified state. I still have not heard any more from eshopps regarding a replacement.

Well, just an update on the skimmer situation. Thursday afternoon there was a box on the doorstep. I figured it was just to send the old impeller back but it actually contained a new one. This impeller is much quieter than the first one. The needlewheel is a bit different than the first one i had. Was disappointed in the product at first (mostly due to the lack of functionality) and the customer support seemed a bit slow but at least Eshopps came through in the end.
