We have the all important topic of the ETRC frag swap in June and we will be holding a fraging demonstration.

Food to be served is BBQ style, please post if you plan on attending, so there may be plenty of food/drink to go around.
 
Me too, unfortunately. But it's the same date every year and we don't want to change in now, I don't think.
 
My parents 50 year anniversary (and our 25th) so we will all be on a cruise. It is kinda a once in a lifetime event so I think folks will understand. I certainly will help out where I can though. BTW, what do you buy a woman who has virtually everything they want for a 25 year (silver is traditional)?

We will be in China. I'm teaching at the Chinese National Academy of Sciences for a couple of months.

About what to get Barb: NO idea. Maybe a horse? She seems to like them! Or someone to take care of her horses? New saddle?

Apparently it's the silver anniversary.
 
I was thinkin' a love slave, but a horse with a cowboy might be just as good!

Have fun in China. I was invited but said "no". I was also invited to UAE to give a talk but also turned them down. Traveling is for the young but opportunities seem to be for us old farts.

Mel, please take lots of pics when your there; I would love to got to China but I don't think I could ever afford it.
 
I think I'd take a trip to UAE, but not so much China... Well, I'd probably go wherever work sent me...

I'm awful at gifts... Horses are too darn expensive, I'd definitely go with silver over them. ;)
 
If you want to play dream vacation, I would give anything to dive the Great Barrier Reef. My wife has close family that live in Sydney and they have asked her several time for us to take the trip but Maria has a extreme fear of flying. She told me how she took a trip to Greece to visit family and she cried the whole flight from NY to Greece.

Yeah Korea was enough of that part of Asia for me for awhile. Thailand or some other south Asia countries and count me in.

I spoke to a dive master who's dove all over the world on a flight back from Copenhagen and he said Malaysia was the place to go.
 
I'm actually really excited about going to China. We'll be in Beijing.

Jake wants to eat scorpions and whatever other weird thing he can get ahold of.

The Chinese National Academy of Sciences is a prestigious research institution so it will be nice to go there and teach some graduate students. They wanted me to come for four months but I just couldn't. That's a bit too long to be in China.
 
Who's a commie? Jake because he wants to eat scorpions or the Chinese because they want me to visit for four months?
