I justed picked up a Blem Euro-Reef RS135 skimmer. I know I am going to get a bigger tank I just don't know when and I couldn't turn down the price. Espcially since the Canadian Dollar is trading @ $1.07 to the US dollar.
I currently have a 30 gallon SPS tank with a crappy Saline Solution skimmer. My question is can you run this skimmer like a hang on/external skimmer. I have enough room behind my tank to place this skimmer.
My plan would be to place the skimmer on a platform behind my tank with the water level in the tank the same height as the water would be if the skimmer were placed in a sump. Then I would use flex tubing to the input of the skimmer with the output dumping into the tank.
I'll try and post a drawing of my idea later.
