Euro reef skimmer

[Itchy fishy]

Tank came with a euro reef skimmer, he recommended replacing the impeller on the sedra 3500 pump ( guess it was added later). I picked up a new impeller but looking for input on the skimmer itself. From the discoloration of the skimmer it looks like it was 80% submerged. Read some skimmers are finicky about the water level. Skimmer looks exactly like the Asm g2. Anybody have/had one of these. Any tips for dialing it in?

My old EuroReef worked at any water level.

My euro reef instructions says ideal water level is 6-8". I run mine at 7".

I currently run my ER cs135 at 7 inches and it works very well. I used to run it at 6 inches and it worked equally well.
