Gents, i have been testing the two skimmer (ER CS12-1, ASM G4X) I notice Euro reef skimmer produce more bubble than ASM as result more waste being removed. The CS12-1 is handled by 2 SP3 which is Sedra 5000 and the ASM is handled by Sedra 9000 But it should not be that much of a different.

I also notice the difference between the ASM G2 and Euro Reef RS6-2+. This is the part i don't understand, Both protein skimmer is use the same pump (Sedra) May be the only different is the material, why is it making such a big different in performance ?

No the asm has a needle wheel impeller, the euro reef use a modded sedra venturi and needle wheel impeller .

if you look really close you will see the diff. I have owned a hand full of asm ER and southbays and i can see little things that make ER slightly better but not much. I have found that the original Southbays and the new skimmers are pretty much equal in performance.

i cant comment, i never owned any but have been considering one, since eveyone says its a miricle. I see you have a 200x3-2001 , how do you like it? is that the only skimmer you have owned?

I know H&S is better than ER and ASM. Pretty much you pay for what you get. But i am very happy with ER since it doesn't cost 2G for the skimmer.

Reefrookie2006 why don't you post some pix of your tank and your pricey protein skimmer so we all can enjoy the beauty?

So the CS12-2 from CA-reefer didn't fit into your 120g sump. How much did you pay for the H&S reefrookie2006?
