I am having trouble with re-starting my GX-6000 pump. The skimmer and pump are about 6 months old and I have been having this trouble for the last couple of months.
I have been unplugging the skimmer to empty and clean the collection cup every week or so (is there a way to empty the cup without overflowing skimmer while it is running?). After the cup is clean when I try and restart the pump is where I am having trouble. The pump and skimmer perform very well otherwise.
I have performed the recommended maintenance on your site several times and I still cannot restart the pump. I accidentally left the pump plugged in one time I was trying to restart and once the volute is off the pump starts up instantly, it seems that when the volute is on is the problem. Any ideas you have would be appreciated.
