on ebay there is a euroreef skimmer for 135$ it is one meant for tanks up to 100g. the other option is buy a octopus 150 rated for tanks up to 150g, for 140$

this is for a 90g Reef.

I really like my euro-reef, and highly recommend the brand for both quality and performace. Secondly, Euro-Reef are normally rated conservatively, which is really good hobby ethics. Most skimmers severly over-rate themselves for profit. That being said, the EuroReef that you are probally talking about is the RC100 or RS100, and the are rated by Euro-Reef at 100g for a standardly stocked tank and 75g for a super heavy stocked tank. That being said, Marine depot gives them a comparitve rating of being at 250g compared to to other skimmers who over hype themselves. While I dont know about octopus personally, make sure they are not overhyping themselves. The best way to know the true capasity is to compare the chamber size (skimmer body diameter and height). Both skimmer have very similar needlewheels so that will not affect performance significantly so the chamber size is the only means of making a good decision. Goodluck, and how I miss NoVa... except the traffic and parking!

My Euro-Reef has been loyal to me. But i must say i dont know anything about The Octopus. Also with my little knowledge i strongly agree with 1pix4c's comment.

i have the octopus 150nw and it works great. pulls out nasty skimmate.have no experience with the euroreef, but from all that i've heard they are a top notch skimmer
