Ever See a Dancing Clownfish?

I was helping Robert & his pregnant wife Michelle set up their new home in Coral Springs and was shooting some quick pics of Robert's temporary tank he has set up until he gets a bigger one set up (he got a bigger house, so why not a bigger tank now???!!!!

Anyway, I noticed that since the clown doesn't have and anemone or xenia to host in, he's adopted a clam. It's a big clam too...looks like it could certainly make a quick snack of him if it wanted to, but for some reason tolerates him. Anyway, I was playing with my new point and shoot movie mode and a bit into the video realized that the fish was almost swimming to the beat of the song in the background...too funny...see for yourself!

Yeah, it's funny that when I was cleaning the glass you could tell that the clown was nervous that I was doing that near his "home." He was actually nipping at the flesh of the clam...maybe to make it close to protect itself??? It was really strange!

Get down with your bad self, clownie!

Very cute. The first anemone I introduced, the clown nipped at the ends of the tentacles, actually ripping off some of the tips. The anemone survived it, and after a while the clown settled in. Maybe similar behavior?

lol that video is too cute. stupid clownfish :D

My clown that hosts in my Torch nips and nibbles at the ends of the tentacles. Never have I seen him rip them off, but he definitely picks at them.

Yeah, the funniest part is when they nip at YOU when you're maintaining the tank...talk about "bite the hand that feeds you!"

My sailfin nipped the tip of my finger the other day because while I had my left arm in the tank fixing coral positions, my right hand fingers were dangling into the top of the tank, I suppose like food, so he went for it. didn't hurt, just surprised the hell out of me.
