With this many people you're bound to get a few that can't control themselves. You just have to report or ignore them. Some of it's not really flaming, it's just a lack of tact. It doesn't transfer over on a post. Just follow the good advice, there is a lot.

And putting something like that in your topic will surely draw the ones you don't want.

I am so happy to have found Reef Central. I agree that there are far more people out to genuinely help each other than the rude few.

So here is my next question: I have a 14 gallon BioCube and I just bought a blue tang for it. Do I have to put it in a QT first? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Just kidding!!!!

I find RC one of the most friendly forums around. I have been on many different types of forums and have had more problems on all of them than here. Though there are always the unhelpfulls and ignorant people, they are everywhere regardless. They are in the grocery store, at the party, on the road, damn I even have one in my house It's unavoidable, but the great thing about the internet is these people are easy to ignore.

This is a great forum, i mostly learn from the problems and solutions other people have, i try to search before i post, even if you ask a stupid question, i believe we have all been there at one point in time. Its everyone who makes this a great community.

There is no excuss for anybody to belittle newbies on this forum... a little bit on encouragement goes a lot further than critisism, it is after all called 'NEW TO THE HOBBY'. If others can't help & be curtious then they just shouldn't be here!
