Experimental Zoa Frag in a Super Nano 5 Gallon Tank

I have had this 5 gallon Fluval Spec V up and running for about 5 months as a super nano tank. When setting up I used a 2" live sand bottom with 7.75 lbs of live rock. It has the Fluval built in oversized 3 stage filter with circulation nozzle and I added a secondary nano canister filter with "spray bar system" that filters 79 gph. For lighting im only using the stock 37 LED light bar(7500K high luminosity) that came with the tank.

After initially letting it properly cycle for over a month, my levels were testing perfect and I added a few Blue & Red Legged Hermits. I test the water almost daily and do 20% weekly water changes. My water always seems to test perfectly(I test and have taken samples to the LFS to confirm). Working and talking with my LFS guy we decided to go ahead and try to put a 3 head - red people eater frag(that's what he said it is anyways) in there and see how it would do in a basically stock Fluval tank.

The Zoa is placed high in the tank in low to medium flow. It seemed to be doing fine and until recently I hadn't noticed any changes. In the last week ive noticed that it is no longer short and stocky, it was more/less hugging the rock, now seems to be unlike a short bushy shrub and more tall like a tree. The stem/stalk is now tall and skinny. The color has faded only slightly. All 3 heads still are opened. Ive consistently done my water changes and water testing and nothing has changed that im aware of. Im wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what may be going on.

reaching for light

That's what I was thinking but its about 4 inches away from the light right now, and another 2 inch increase in elevation would put it right at the waters surface. So the lack of proper/enough lighting would be what you think the problem is?
Another point I need to make is when I turn off the white lights and switch on the moon lights it goes back to its normal state and seems to do the best and opens up the most, where its small and bushy like a shrub and just looks healthier and more vibrant
