Extension Cord for Probes

My temp probe and pH probe cables are too short to go between the sump and the controller. Are there any extension cords or suggestions on how I can fix this besides the obvious...moving the controller. Not really the best option. ;)

my understanding is the cords can be doubled in length and still get accurate results. there are many websites that sell cords that can be used as extensions. And are not very expensive.

Thanks for your response. I purchased an extension cord from Radio Shack but it did not work. It was, however, listed as an audio extension cord so that may be the issue. Can you point me in the direction of a website that might sell the type of cord I need to extend the temp probe cord.

i'm assuming you have the older style probe. if that is the case, I believe you need to use non stereo jacks.

I'd send Curt and email at Neptune to make doubley sure iI have the correct info. If you are handy you can also buy the plugs and wire to make a custom size length. It's not real hard to do. And is usually a bit cheaper :)

I've add the temperature probe extension cables for the AC2, ACPRO, and AC3PRO to the order portion of our website. They are in the probes section. Use TMPEXT for the AC2, and TMPEXTP for the ACPRO or AC3PRO.
BTW, the connectors used for the temp probe on the AC2 is a 2.5mm mono phono jack, and for the Pro it is a 2.5 mm stereo phono jack.
