External Skimmer?

Is it possible to have an external skimmer flood your floors? Should it be setup in a tub or container? Thanks.

if your collection cup is not a sealed system than yes an overflow is possible. Could happen if for some reason your skimmer goes bonkers which they do on occasion because of something added to the tank. If you have the collection cup drain into something large or have a sealed syste than no worries.

I have a DAS EX-3. My colletion cup is not sealed. I am going to drill the cup for a drain though. I still will be better off putting it in a container (rubbermaid ,Etc)Huh?
