Extremely bubbly/cloudy water?

Okay, so, I've setup my second tank, with almost IDENTICAL equipment as my first tank, and have experienced an interesting issue with both tanks. I actually moved my skimmer and lights from the first tank to the second, so there is virtually no difference.

The new tank has been cycling for 8-10 weeks now, and all tests look great. Ammonia=0ppm, Nitrites=0ppm, Nitrates=5ppm. The problem is, the day after I added the skimmer (CSS65) to the tank, it began generating TONS of microbubbles, as if it were brand new, and it's really cloudy. This is not normal microbubbles, and I can't get the skimmer adjusted high enough to skim properly without quickly filling up the collection cup in a matter of hours. Since this is the second time it's happened, and I am very familiar with this skimmer/tank setup, I'm certain that it's something "wrong" with the water. I'm also certain it'll works it's way out in a few weeks, but it's really bothering my skimmer, and I'd like to stop it sooner to prevent a waste issue, if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks,
Matt

When you swapped the skimmer, did you go directly from use on one tank to use on another, or did it sit for a little while? How did/do you clean the skimmer?

straight from tank to tank, just emptied it then moved it.... but since it did this before, I'm certain it's not the skimmer... I have 2 identical skimmers, and for kicks, I hooked the other one up (clean and dry) to the tank, and it did the same thing.

Is there a lot of relatively fresh epoxy or glue in the tanks? Just trying to think of things that might make a skimmer go nuts (non mechanical).

well, I'm not sure what makes it relatively fresh, but I did put in quite a bit of epoxy before I filled it, maybe 9 weeks old? That would make some sense. The only thing with that is they original tank never had any epoxy added to it, so I'm not sure why both of them did it.

I guess I should clarify, although gflat's answer eluded to it, I truely don't think it's the skimmer that's the cause, but the skimmer is what is generating the bubbles... I think it's a water issue, or something in the water. I guess I'll just let it go a few weeks.... thanks for the input!
