Have the Apex's been used for all 6 months? Are the probes in good condition or would they need to be replaced?

6 month used probes should still have a lot of life on them as long as they weren't left to dry out.

PH probe is lab grade, I have calibration solution for it and checked readings against various testing kits. Salinity probe is about 3 month old, because I bought it last and never had any issues, tested against two refractometrs.
