Fading Mushrooms

Do some mushrooms fade in color when they have too much light? I have some mushrooms that I moved out of the direct light under an outcropping and now they are much more colorful than before. Any ideas?

mushrooms will fade in color when they get too much light or when they get really stressed. your right on

That is what I thought, I have some other types (I call them Watermelon variety) and the ones that receive less light have much better colors. Thanks.

mine have turned dark, but also are now recieving more light. think i will move them to lees light after hearing this and others say the same.

Since I have posted their colors have turned to an even more vibrant color. Very nice, I would suggest to try it. It couldnt hurt!
