fading rpe's

anyone ever experience rpe's or any other paly/zoo color fading?
my rpe's were a dark red when i got them, and now are barely colored. they are almost an opaque/pink color.

at a guess I'd say they're getting too much light, I'd move them down into the lower half of the tank and see how that goes
