This is my first time in 16 years dealing with marine ick. I have learned my lesson and will quarantine all new fish.I will most likely even adopt some new means of bringing over snails, crabs, etc. I certainly do not want to do this again. Which leads me to the following question(s):
- What measures or steps do you take to keep from bringing ick over on hyrdrometers, specimen containers, nets, etc.?
- Do you have equipment set aside soley for your QT/HT?
- Do you sterilize, bleach, etc. equipment that is used for your DT and QT/HT?
- What is your standard practice for dealing with issues like this?
- Is there a bigger concern with bringing cupramine / medication / etc. over to your DT over keeping ick going?
