Fallow tank after ich

Removed my last living fish from the tank on May 6 after ich wiped everything else out.
There were three fish whose bodies I never recovered.
I plan to put my tang back in the DT next weekend so the tank will have been without a living fish in it for 75 days at that point.
I was told that the unrecovered fish would not be a factor and that I should be ok with the 75 days.
Can anyone confirm that?
I would hate to have gone through everything that I've done to this point for nothing.
Thanks!

Hi!
I'm sorry for the losses of those fish :(
I would think that after 11 weeks with your tank running fallow that your tang will be fine.
The unrecovered fish are long since decayed and that the ich parasites have all starved themselves out by now.
I would watch your tang very carefully for the next three weeks or so for any signs...don't add any new fish for that period. After that, you can start adding new fish slowly. If you quarantine things will go well for your tank from here on out, I'm sure.
That's my take.
Anyone else want to chime in? :)

Good luck
Well fed low stress stable parameters
These fish can usually fight off ick even if it got back into DT

From point forward you should also put ALL new fish through TTM and QT for a few weeks.

After a very similar experience that cost me 9 fish I always do TTM and treat with Prazi Pro on the 2nd and 4th transfer. I then QT for another 2 weeks.

I thought I had all these bases covered!
I guess you never really know about how stressed your fish are but mine seemed fine. One wrasse would chase the other from time to time but never any biting and usually only at feeding time.

And yes, from now on every new fish goes through TTM and a quarantine afterward. 2 weeks sounds good.
