Fallow Tank Maintenance

I have a tank fallow for 6 weeks now from ICK. I want to use this tank as a QT for coral and inverts only, but I am unsure if I should break the tank down and start from scratch or just wait another 5 weeks and do a large water change and media change. There is LR and LS in the tank currently.

Thoughts!

A QT for Corals is BEST to not have any LR or LS. Like they advise you in the other thread just use egg crate.
