Is there something out there that I can use to controll my fan in my sump.......My temps are droping way to much.....looked today before the lights came on and the temp was 76.4...I think thats a bit to low..........Im not running a heater......sould I run a heater set to 79-80....and leave the fan on 24/7

Maybe i'm stating the obvious but, any chiller controller would do a nice job. Ranco, Aquanetics, Medusa. Also a more expensive solution would be any of the aquarium controllers, AquaController Jr, Lighthouse, ReefKeeper, etc.

BTW is there anywhere I could buy local.......this is something I wanted to setup this week
TIA
Brian

Why not just put your fan on a timer to go on/off with the lights? Or at least the regular daylight schedule...

I been checking it daily......with lights on for 8 hours temp up to around 80.1.......when the lights are off 78.0...this is with the fan running 24/7 for some reason today the temp was down to 76....why I dont know....I think I would feel better with some better control....but thank for the suggestion......may end up buying a reefkeeper II..this way I could get rid of all the timers I have now.....

i just have a heater and a fan running all the time on my 30 gallon. keeps the temp perfectly stable at 79-80 day or night.

thatd be the easiest way if you dont mind it running all the time and also more evap.

my 100 gallon i have an aquacontroller jr that turns my heater or chill on and off. id buy the aqua over a reefkeeper, for a bit more, it has alot more features that you MIGHT need, that the reef keeper doesnt.

my aquacontroller jr is the brain of my tank, it controls everything except my ozone.
