I try to describe: the tank is connected to the sump for communicating vessels, the water passes from the two connectors located on the bottom, this device offers many advantages: it simplifies the management of the sediment, eliminates the noise of the overflow and has the possibility to adjust the level in the tank at will .....

just trying to understand how it works :)

I guess the sump is at the same level as the tank in another room with same height, and when return pump is off, both tanks drop water level to the same level ?

prety simple yet innovative Idea if that's it. :)

I think, by communicating vessel he means the drain from the tank is controlled by the float switch in the sump.. by setting the float switch higher or lower he can adjust how much water level he wants to maintain in sump and naturally the opposite will reflect in main tank.. when power fails the sump water level rises and float switch closes the drain stopping the tank from getting empty!

yes, the sump is in another room and has same tall of tank. The pump that is in the sump draw up water in the tank

@dave: better to have a sump of 87 galoni or have sps with good colors??

This is the forum for aquariums 180+ gallons/708+ litres. An 87 gallon tank would be a sump.

Very nice colours and arrangement.
